I stepped away from my desk for an evening
I put my Mac to sleep and put it out of my mind
But when I returned
A slash and circle on my screen
Boot sector failure I have seen
And now it won’t boot up

I could format the disk and reinstall macOS
But I would lose my songs from the past several months
I should’ve made backups
Three terabytes of space
Could have saved me from this place
And now it won’t boot up

I’ll boot external to save my files
Got a flash drive, but there’s not enough space
I’ll partition the EHD
Boot in and get my data free

I wait an hour for the backup
Restart the system and prepare to reinstall
But there’s the login screen
My familiar port of call
Guess nothing was wrong with it after all
Thanks for wasting my fucking time
